Agreement

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it. They are between you and Katherine Therese Fosdick, an individual publishing from Depew, New York. I may amend them; the version at the top of this page tells you which set applies, and continued use after a change means acceptance of it.

What this site is

A personal blog containing one individual's opinions, recollections and general information about restaurants and food. It is not the official site of any restaurant, is not affiliated with any restaurant, chef, guide or booking platform, and does not act as anyone's agent.

Nothing is sold here. No reservations, no seats, no access, no memberships, no priority of any kind, and no payment is ever taken from readers. If you encounter a site or message claiming otherwise in my name, it is not me — report it to info@fiftyimpressions.com.

Content may be incomplete or out of date. Prices, menus and policies quoted are those published by the operator at the time of writing. Verify with the operator before relying on anything. See the independence notice.

Acceptable use

You may read, quote briefly with attribution, and link freely. You may not:

• copy substantial parts for republication, or scrape the site in bulk;
• use the content to train a model or build a derivative service without written permission;
• present this site or its content in a way suggesting I endorse you, or that this is a restaurant's official channel;
• interfere with the site's operation or security, or introduce anything harmful;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

Intellectual property

Text, layout, design and code are owned by Katherine Fosdick or licensed to her and are protected by copyright. Restaurant, chef and guide names and logos referred to are the property of their owners and are used for nominative, descriptive purposes only.

Rights holders who believe material here infringes their rights should write to info@fiftyimpressions.com identifying the work, the page and the basis of the claim, with contact details and a good-faith statement — the substance of a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. I review these promptly and remove or amend material where the claim is well founded, and you may submit a counter-notice if you believe removal was mistaken.

External links are provided for reference. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Advertising is supplied by third-party networks; while I set standards for what may appear, I do not review every individual ad in advance. Report anything misleading to info@fiftyimpressions.com.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law I make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the content is complete, accurate or current.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Katherine Fosdick is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on the content — including travel, accommodation or other costs. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your rights as a consumer under applicable law are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the state and federal courts located there. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your place of residence.
